One of those extremely accomplished veterans is Mat Best.
Best is a satirical content creator, U.S. Army veteran, New York Times best-selling author, and co-founder of Black Rifle Coffee Company. A former U.S. Army Ranger who served in the 2nd Ranger Battalion, Best served four tours in Iraq, one in Afghanistan, and subsequently served as a contractor for the CIA.

A Track Record of Exemplary Service
Best enrolled in the Army right after he graduated high school. He actually enrolled when he was 17 and turned 18 when he was in basic training. After being assigned to the 2nd Ranger Battalion, Best was sent to Mosul, Iraq.
After five tours and nine years in the military, Best decided not to reenlist. That said, he quickly discovered that civilian life wasn’t exactly what he wanted. After receiving a strong recommendation from a friend, Best became a contractor for the CIA. As a contractor, he spent five years deployed to various locations around the world.
Best decided to spend more than one decade actively serving his country. He is one of America’s best and brightest. However, it is his career after his military service that led to his widespread fame and attention today.

The Road to Black Rifle Coffee
As he was obtaining his college degree, Best began making satirical videos and uploading them to YouTube. He used his knowledge and experience in the U.S. military to create satirical videos for current military members and veterans. His videos became extremely popular (with even one video reaching number 36 on the Billboard charts).
At the same time, Best created several other brands and ventures (like Article 15 Clothing and the Drinkin’ Bros Podcast). Arguably the most notable venture, however, was Black Rifle Coffee. It actually emerged from an experiment within the Article 15 Clothing umbrella. There, he tested a coffee brand called “Freedom Roast.” He, along with his cofounders Evan Hafer, Jarred Taylor, and Richard Ryan, formed Black Rifle Coffee in 2014.
Since its formation, Black Rifle Coffee has achieved massive success. It culminated in becoming a publicly traded company in 2022. Best and his cofounders have created an extremely strong company that offers both excellent coffee and a strong sense of community.

Best’s success—both as a content creator and cofounder of Black Rifle Coffee—has led him to some of the highest peaks in media today. Most notably, Best and his cofounder Evan Hafer appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast (episode #1546).

Mat Best Wrote a Book
Considering everything that he has done, it is perhaps natural that Best decided to write a book.
