Cameron Hanes has been called the best bowhunter on the planet by Rogan and the two have been elk hunting many times. They also hunted Axis deer in Hawaii while on vacation together.

Hanes has been a mentor to Rogan’s archery and bowhunting skills, and he has been a reoccurring guest on the JRE podcast for a long time and is one of Rogan’s best friends. With so many great Hanes episodes about hunting we must go with #1997, to listen to them talk about hunting and eating bears.

Few podcasts will blow your mind the way Glenn Villeneuve did on JRE #1395. He moved to the most remote part of America – the Brooks Mountain Range in Alaska – to live and hunt off the land.

In this podcast Villeneuve talks about hunting elk, moose, bears, and even fending off a wolf pack that was interested in eating him. Remarkably, he has to fend of bears and wolves who are competing for the same food resources as him. The way he gets vegetables is remarkable – eating them out of a caribou’s stomach.

You could pick any JRE podcast episode with Steven Rinella and get fully satisfied with fantastic hunting discussion. There are so many good ones to choose from, but the best one is JRE #1341, where Rogan and Rinella have deep discussions about hunting.
